We never get tired of hearing, “That was the best chicken I’ve ever eaten!” And we hear that a lot.
Unlike commercially raised chickens, our birds are raised outdoors, in moveable houses where they have plenty of space, and those houses are moved every single day to give them access to fresh grass and to allow them to express their instincts to scratch in the soil. We also raise chickens that are slower to mature than the commercial breeds, and while this means the process is more costly and labor-intensive, the results speak for themselves and we wouldn’t do it any other way.
So how do you get one of these tasty birds? We have them available only seasonally since nearly half the year here is not conducive to raising these birds on the pasture, thus they are available once a month from May through October. You can reserve one (or more) through our online store, which you can find in the menu, above, with a $5 deposit. That deposit will be applied toward the final price, which will be determined based on the bird’s weight when you come to pick it up on the date you selected.
They will be fresh, not frozen, since we will have just processed them the day before you arrive, so we recommend you bring a cooler with you.
